Fishing adventure on the legendary Burma Banks
The Burma Banks off the coast of Myanmar are undoubtedly one of the last really almost untouched places where anglers can experience fantastic sea Fishing adventure in MYANMAR BURMA BANKS. About 200 km off the mainland coast, the “Banks” rise from a depth of 350 meters to an average water depth of 20-50 meters, forming numerous underwater plateaus. Pretty much everything that is native to the Andaman Sea is bustling around here.

These include Giant Trevallies (“GT’s), Dogtooth-Tuna and also various Grouper, Snapper and Shark species. Of course, Dorados and Wahoos are always to be expected. Fishing trips in MYANMAR BURMA BANKS for Black Marlin is often successful too.
“Action fishing” is the motto at the Burma Banks – that means mainly jigging and natural bait fishing. If you are interested, you can also do some trolling with lures, where Black Marlin or Sailfish can be expected.

Popper fishing travel in MYANMAR BURMA BANKS is also becoming more and more popular here – although the classic flat reef structures are lacking, the coveted fish (especially GT’s and Tuna) are still there and first attempts were quite successful. A lot is possible here, especially in the evenings (and even at night), when many fish species are hunting at the surface. We even caught a wahoo on Popper during a tour in March.
