Piraiba Lodge and as a combination with King William Falls possible!
Dear Sport Anglers,
in January 2022, after a long (corona-related) break, we were finally able to set off again for the jungle. And what a tour it was! In the end, there were 15 Arapaimas in enormous sizes (up to 2.34 metres). In addition, there were Piaraibas, Payaras, all other catfish species and a multitude of other „jungle monsters“, which demanded a lot from the anglers.
Are you looking for adventure + challenge and want to compete with the world’s biggest freshwater predators? You are not afraid to travel to the most remote areas in the deep jungles of Guyana to take on the river monsters?
We have just the right tours for you! The destination of our trip is the Essequibo River in the heart of Guyana/South America.
Our River Monster Expeditions are now in their 6th year and so far all tours have been an absolute success with gigantic fish – especially of course Arapaimas and Piraibas, which have broken the 100 kg mark several times on each tour so far.
At Piraiba Lodge you will stay either in 2-3 bedded rooms with shower/WC or alternatively in tents. The expedition to King William Falls means that only accommodation in tents is possible.
You must bring your own fishing tackle. We will send you a checklist with the necessary equipment in advance. Depending on what the anglers want to fish for, the distances to the best fishing spots vary and depending on how much water the river has, the journey times vary.
